Customs Administration exceeded revenue target by Rs.8 billion 790 million

The Department of Customs has collected Rs.8 billion 790 million more revenue than the target in fiscal the year 2066/67 (16th.July, 2009 to 16th. July, 2010). This is an increase of Rs.22 billion 420 million (36.70%) compared to the corresponding last fiscal year. Selectivity Implementation in Biratnagar Customs Office

Biratnagar Customs Office has started risk based clearance system from 3rd June, 2010. This system is based on the Selectivity Module of ASYCUDA. The system allows clearing the goods in fast track depending on the risk inherent on that particular consignment. No risk or low risk commodities are selected by the system to clear without physical verification of the goods. The system also allows focusing limited Customs resources on the high risk areas.
