Risk Management Awareness Seminar

Risk Management awareness seminar was organised by DOC and UNCTAD on 19th May 2010 at Hotel Radisson. The Seminar was attended by the Minister of Finance, the Secretary for Finance, ADB, and key representatives from both the public and private sectors. The government reiterated its commitment to reform and automation, and explained that this was a long and ongoing process which required the cooperation of all.

On the program, Mr. Shaym Dahal, National Project Manager ASYCUDA presented a paper titled "Reform Automation and Risk Management in Customs". This paper was followed by another paper presentation from Mr. Renaud Massenet, Asia/Pacific Regional Co-Ordinator for ASYCUDA.   

This was a very important opportunity to raise the profile of the reform and modernisation work undertaken by DOC and the high level participation, and active contribution from all participants was a testament to the commitment towards reform and modernisation.
